GARDEN & TAMPINES COURSES

 

1.                   FREE LIFT

 

Through the green, any ball may be lifted and dropped, without penalty, within one club length from the  nearest point of relief but not nearer the hole for the following:

·         All Ground marked with GUR;

·         All young staked trees; and

·         All marked flower beds.

 

 

2.                   IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 24-2)

 

Open drains (unless marked OB and not lying within the boundaries of a Water Hazard or Lateral Water Hazard), cart paths, sump covers, sprinkler heads and valve, satellite cabinets, aeration slabs, lamp posts, electrical boxes, recycled lumber distance markers and their cement bases, wooden bunkers, and drink huts are immovable obstructions.

 

 

3.                   EMBEDDED BALL (RULE 25-2)

 

A ball embedded in its own pitch mark through the Green may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty, as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer to the hole.  When the ball is embedded on the green it can be placed and not dropped.

 

 

4.                   OUT OF BOUNDS (RULE 27-1)

 

Beyond the fence bounding the golf course or as indicated by white stakes or lines.

 

1st Hole      -      Right and Left side of Fairway and behind the Green.

2nd Hole      -      Right and Left side of Fairway and behind the Green.

3rd Hole      -      Left side of Fairway

5th Hole      -      Behind the Green.

6th Hole      -      Right side of Fairway and behind the Green.

9th Hole      -      Right side (100m from the Green) and behind the Green.

10th Hole      -      Initially beyond the cart path on the right side and later beyond the fence.

14th Hole      -      Right side of Fairway and behind the Green.

18th Hole      -      Right side of Green (Retaining Wall/Clubhouse) and behind the Green.

 

 

5.                   WATER HAZARDS AND LATERAL WATER HAZARDS (RULE 26)

 

The margins of the water hazard is indicated by yellow and/or red stakes/or lines at lake side edge of the stone wall surrounding the lakes.

 

Upon ball entering the water immediately forward of the 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th & 17th tees, golfer shall place his ball on the Dropping Zone mat marked by 2 yellow ball markers under penalty of one stroke.

 

Upon ball entering the water hazard behind the 17th Green, golfer shall place his ball on the Dropping Zone not marked by 2 yellow ball markers under penalty of one stroke.

 

Upon ball entering the lateral water hazard on the right hand side of 11th Hole, golfer shall place his ball on the Dropping Zone mat marked by 2 red balls markers under penalty of one stroke.

 

Any open drain located within a Water Hazard or Lateral Water Hazard, is part of the hazard.  Golfers shall play in accordance with the Rules of Golf governing Water Hazard And Lateral Water Hazard (Rule 26) adopted by the USGA and R&A of St. Andrews.

 

 

6.                   HAZARD INDICATORS

 

WHITE STAKES/LINES      :      Out of Bounds

YELLOW STAKES/LINES      :      Water Hazards

RED STAKES/LINES      :      Lateral Water Hazards

ORANGE STAKES/LINES      :      Young Trees and Plants or GUR

 

 

7.                   SIREN SIGNALS

 

Suspend Play      :      60-seconds Intermittent Siren with a voice message

Resume Play      :      60-seconds Continuous Siren with a voice message

Course Closed      :      60-seconds Series of short Blast with a voice message

Shotgun Start      :      30-seconds Continuous Siren with a voice message

 

 

8.                   COURSE REGULATIONS

 

a.       Golf cars must not be driven by persons under 16 years of age.

b.       Golfers must complete each 9 holes in two (2) hours inclusive of 10 minutes break.

c.       Golfers must be appropriately attired, accordingly to Club Bye-laws.

d.       TEE-MARKERS     HANDICAPS

Black       Men (9 & Below)

      Blue         Men (18 & Below)

      White       Men (24 & Below & PC Holders)

      Red         Women (36 & below & PC Holders)
